Learn how to paint marble effect on any glass vase using 4 different techniques and supplies! Pick your favorite or try them all!
Today I have a super quick craft for you – a marbled vase. Marbling has become super popular recently. Mostly it requires you pouring out your nail polish in water. It does produce super cool effects though… my favorite one is from A Place of my Taste. Mandy at Vintage revivals did a cool technique of using spray paint in water. But I was looking for a super quick and simple way to get a similar effect.
This is what I ended up with! Its so fun when an idea in your head actually works out!

Supplies needed for Easy DIY Marbled vase –
- Dollar store vase or similar vase.
- Silver craft paint
- Medium sized paint brush
- Pink Spray paint – I used Rustoleum berry pink.
How to make this easy Marbled Vase –
Step 1 – Clean the vase – I washed it well and dried it then wiped it down with isopropyl alcohol.
Step 2 – Lightly dip the paint brush in the silver paint and give the vase a few “swirls” of silver on the inside.
Step 3 – Once the silver paint is dry (which takes like 2 minutes) – take the vase outside and give a few coats of the pink spray paint – on the inside of the vase. Quick bursts with can aimed to the inside did the trick.
Thats it! I let it dry up before bringing it inside and adding some white flowers. The best part of this vase is that once the spray paint dries and cures fully, you can actually use water and real flowers! The vase will hold up to light hand washing! Look at the close up of the swirls of silver peeking through the pink.. I think it looks gorgeous!
You could do this with any color combination or any number of colors. Oh the possibilities!!
