Ikea Latt table and chair sets are a great alternative to their more expensive counterparts and like any Ikea furniture can be customized in so many fun ways!

Nearly every household I know who has young kids has the Ikea Latt table. They are such a great bang for your buck! At $25, you get space for the kids to call their own – to play, paint and eat!

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look even a fraction of the “fun” it offers. It is made of unfinished pine and white acrylic boards and like most Ikea furniture are a blank canvas for your creativity.

Painted IKEA Latt Table –

The easiest way to update the Ikea Latt table and chairs. Amanda from Love and Renovations added simple paint and gave it gold dipped legs.

Upholstered IKEA Latt Table and Chairs –

Take the painted Ikea Latt table one step further and add upholstery and color with a fun fabric.

Just cover the white acrylic in the seats with fabric before assembling like I did for this chevron Ikea Latt hack.

How to – Simply cut fabric to size and hot glue to the seat. You can cut off the back of the chairs for stool if you wish.

Or go ahead and add some soft cushions for the little bottoms like this colorful Ikea Latt hack. By the way… this right here is the history I was referring to! My very first project. Read all about it in the post. 

Protect the pretty fabric with a coat of iron-on vinyl like in this pretty pink and purple butterfly table and chair set to match a little girl’s room.
