How to Make a Red White and Blue Wreath

A red white and blue patriotic 4th of July wreath for under $5! Easy and simple to make!

Learn how to make a red white and blue wreath for under $5 and 10 minutes using dollar store supplies. This easy American flag wreath makes the perfect DIY patriotic wreath for your front door! red white and blue wreath on the front door. This red white and blue wreath is not just easy to make, it is great on the budget too!

Can you believe it is made using dollar store supplies!

Of course, I re-used my grapevine wreath. I have redecorated it for every season while trying to keep the price tag under $10.

Now that means, a lot of dollar store supplies and ideas!

This one is no different.

Materials needed to make the easy patriotic wreath –

  • Grapevine wreath form – I re-used my grapevine wreath from the previous one.
  • Red, white and blue faux flowers. I got mine at the dollar store.
  • Little wood stars – on Amazon or Joann’s . I got my pack from Joann’s using a coupon and only used 5 of the 130 stars… the rest will be for another project!
  • Hot glue gun
  • Silver craft paint
  • wire cutter

Materials needed for making the red white and blue wreath

How to make a Red White and Blue Wreath –

Step 1 – Cut off the flowers from their stems using a wire cutter.Cutting the stems off of the dollar store flowers to make a red white and blue patriotic wreath

Step 2 – Insert flowers one by one into the grapevine wreath form and twist them underneath to secure. I used 6 blue flowers and 3 each red and white for each layer. Adding flowers to the grapevine wreath form to make a red white and blue patriotic wreath

Step 3 – Paint the little stars silver using acrylic paint. I painted 5 stars. Painting silver stars to add to easy dollar store patriotic wreath

Step 4 –  Glue stars to the blue flowers using a little drop of hot glue. Attaching stars to the patriotic wreath

That’s it! The wreath is ready! I love the simple look of it. What do you think? Fourth of July wreath on the front door.

    Love this idea – thanks for sharing! I had a wreath for each season and they became faded from being on a front door with lots of sun all day. Just moved to an apartment home and need to refresh them all….this will be perfect!
