DIY NO WELD METAL COAT RACK

Yes, you can build metal projects without welding!

This is a great beginner project to try out aluminum brazing.

Aluminum brazing uses lower temperatures and doesn't require expensive equipment.

It's the technique of joining two pieces of aluminum using a filler material.

Cutting aluminum

The aluminum tubes and rods can be cut using a miter saw.

prepare the material

Cleaning and prepping the aluminum is important for getting a strong joint.

use clamps

Layout the structure and secure with metal clamps.

time to braze!

This technique is easy, it just takes a little patience.  It can take 3-5 minutes for the aluminum to get hot enough.

heating the joint

Getting the joint hot enough is key to making this work.

Attach front bars by brazing them from the back.

Add hooks to the DIY no weld metal coat rack.

Clean and paint. You can customize the size to fit where you need it.
