YES, YOU CAN ENGRAVE METAL WITH A CRICUT MAKER 3

The Cricut Engraving tip makes it possible to engrave various materials.

You can engrave leather, acrylic, and yes, even metal! The Quickswap tips with Quickswap housings make it so easy to tackle all types of materials.

You can engrave metal using your Cricut Maker or Cricut Maker 3.

You will need the engraving tip (tip #41) that is part of the Quickswap tool system.

The Cricut engraving tip can engrave any soft metals like aluminum, copper, brass, silver, gold, and even stainless steel.

To engrave metal you will need to use the strong grip mat (the purple one).

Making the engraving deeper can be done by simply duplicating the design, aligning it and then attaching them in design space. This forces the engraving tip to make two passes for a deeper engraving.

To make the engraving stand out I used an enamel marker to paint over the engraving, allowed it to dry for a few minutes, then wiped it off.

This dishwasher magnet was a fun first metal engraving project. We needed it! In the past dishes may sometimes have been put away dirty 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have the full tutorial to make your own 👇🏻
