How to DIY Lazy Susan Using Patterned Plywood

If you work with plywood, it can be easy to accumulate lots of scrap pieces.  This is a great project to put them all to use!

DIY Susan Using Patterned Plywood

Materials

– Plywood sheet or scrap cut-off – Bar clamps – Wood glue – Lazy susan hardware – Screw – 1/4″ straight cut router bit – Epoxy (I used this one)

Step 1 – Cut the Strips

Start by ripping the plywood into strips on the table saw.

Step 2 – Glue it up

Set up the bar clamps for the glue up.

Step 3 – Cut into Angled Strips

– Set up a crosscut sled on the table saw at 45-degrees. – Cut off the zigzag end of the panel.

Step 4 – glue up again in chevron pattern

- alternate the cut strips and create a chevron pattern.  - Glue up and allow to cure overnight.
