How to Hang Pictures on Concrete, Plaster, or Masonry

Hanging artwork and pictures on non-drywall surfaces can be tricky but it's not impossible.

Here are different types of hanging hardware you can use to hang pictures on concrete, plaster, or masonry.

These will work on plaster and painted concrete or masonry. You will need to pick the ones that work for the size and weight of the picture.

3M Command Strips

These will hold up to 30 lbs, and the nail angles downward to anchor it into the plaster.

Plaster Picture Hanger

Are able to hold up to 30lbs and leave minimal damage when removed.

Concrete Wall Hook

Steel Concrete Picture Hangers can be used in concrete or brick and will hold up to 30lbs. Masonry Screws used for heavier items and may leave damage when removed.
