Miter Saw Basics

Miter Saw Basics

A lot of people consider a miter saw an intermediate to advanced saw but I think it is the easiest saw to use, even for beginners.

Learn these miter saw basics to make sure your cuts come out perfect every time.

Always cut the end off lumber from a lumber yard for a straight cut.

Use a speed square to measure and mark a straight line to cut.

Set your lumber on against the saw fence and hold it in place.

Make sure you will have an accurate cut by making sure the saw kerf is on the correct side.

Allow the saw blade to reach full speed and lower to make the full cut.
