Ikea furniture is a blank canvas

And you can paint it without heavy sanding!

You will need a Shellac-based primer, THIS IS KEY, and a few other supplies.

Lightly scuff your Ikea laminate furniture before painting.

Wipe the dust off with a tack cloth.

Apply the shellac-based primer. It sticks to ALL surfaces without sanding.

Add a second coat of primer. It can be the shellac based or it can be water based.

Now to paint! Apply two coats of paint using a paint sprayer or foam roller.
