Materials Needed to Make the DIY Metal Sign

How to Make the Custom Corrugated Metal Sign

  1. Start by cutting the corrugated metal sheet to the desired size using the tin snips. Be sure to wear protective work gloves because the metal is really sharp. How to make a custom metal sign - for the workshop with corrugated metal
  2. Cut the ¾” plywood to size and stain it. I cut it to 2″ wider than the corrugated metal on all sides. How to make a custom metal sign - for the workshop with corrugated metal

  5. Write your word onto the Metal using the black Sharpie. I printed “WORKSHOP” in 300 point,  cut out each letter to create a stencil and filled it in with the Sharpie.Easy way to make an industrial metal sign

  2. Wow, you are lucky to have inherited cabinets and pegboard. And I love your sign, it’s perfect for your new work area. I would not have thought to use corrugated metal but it fits perfectly!

I’m inspired to dress up my little area in the garage with some peg board to hang all of “my” tools, since the hubby is constantly accusing me of using and not putting back “his” tools 😀
