DIY Concrete Flowers : Easy 2-Minute Project
Learn how to make DIY concrete flowers! With this quick 2-minute tutorial, you will be making easy cement flowers perfect for any decor in no time!
Have you realized yet how obsessed I am with concrete projects? That’s right, I am having so much fun experimenting with it! I made a mirrored concrete tray, a tiered planter and now I give you concrete flowers!
There is a secret to these flowers- they are not exactly made of concrete! They are dollar store flowers dipped in concrete! 🙂 The best part – it literally took 2 minutes to make!!
When I finished pouring concrete for the tiered planter, I had quite a bit leftover in my bucket and I didn’t want to waste it. I looked around the garage for something… anything to use it with and saw some of these dollar store flowers from my patriotic wreath in a box… and the rest, as they say, is history…

Materials Needed for DIY Concrete Flowers –
- Fast setting concrete. Quikrete is my favorite
- Faux flowers of your choice
- Water
- old bucket
- cardboard to protect your surface and for the flowers to dry on
How to Make Concrete Flowers –
It is a simple 3 step process –
Mix concrete → dip flower→ Let dry!
Of course, I have a video for you to watch me make them!!
Let the flowers dry up for about 24 hours. They become quite stiff. I had just a little bit of concrete fall off from spots that didn’t get enough concrete.
Paint them the way you like… I gave the edges a touch of bright paint.
Aren’t they pretty?!
What Would You Use These Cement Flowers For?
Any guesses what I will be doing with them?
