This DIY console table has been one of my favorite builds ever—and it’s finally getting the spotlight it deserves!

I first built it back in 2019, inspired by a beautiful (and pricey) piece from Ballard Designs that’s no longer available. The moment I saw the original, I couldn’t get over those legs. Simple, clean, and packed with character—it was the perfect mix of modern and classic.

The best part? While the designer version was priced at $599, I built mine for just $35 in lumber! Yes, really.

So I decided it was time to bring this project back with a fresh video and an updated tutorial to help you build your own. Whether you’re styling an entryway, adding a statement piece behind your sofa, or just love a good weekend project, this console table is a beautiful (and budget-friendly) build you’ll be proud of.

  1. I got so excited when I saw this beautiful console table! I’ve been on the hunt for something narrow for a particular spot in my entry/living room. This looks perfect. I may need to give it a try when the weather warms up (we don’t have an indoor workspace for projects like this). Thank you!

  2. Wow, Anika! I love this. I am going to save this for spring/summer and hopefully, make one for my home. Thanks so much for sharing at Project Inspired. Have an awesome day!
