A store tour of Floor & Decor to explore all the amazing hard surface options they have available – including a look at their free design services! If you are considering a remodel, this is a must-visit!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Floor & Decor. All opinions are 100% mine.

What makes a DIYer feel like a kid in a candy store?

A visit to a store that sells a ginormous variety of tile!

When Floor & Decor invited me to visit their brand new location in San Gabriel, I was excited about it!

Going to a store that sells all types of hard surface flooring and tile sounded like a really fun idea.

But I wasn’t prepared for how I felt when I got there!

Stepping into 85,000 square feet of flooring and tile and everything you need to make it happen can be quite overwhelming but incredibly exciting!

I met with the Chief Executive Merchant (CEM) of the store and she gave an overview of the entire store and introduced me to the designer (more on that later.)

As I walked around the store, for every 3rd or 4th sample that caught my eye – I felt like I needed it in my home. Where? I don’t know!

Let’s talk about the store itself.

What is Floor & Decor

Floor & Decor is a one-stop-shop for all things hard surface for your home.

This means they carry not just a huge variety of flooring but also all types of decorative tiles (hence the decor in the name), marble, granite and wood countertops, plus everything you need to install them.

They source their products straight from the manufacturers or quarries and are able to pass on the savings to their customers.

Plus their buyers scout for designs and products and hence, there is a broader selection of unique products that you can find only at Floor & Decor.

The Floor & Decor store tour

The first things that caught my eye as I entered were the display showrooms in a variety of styles – to show you where everything would go in various types of rooms – bathroom, kitchen, entryway, living area, etc.

It makes it so much easier to visualize and see all the possibilities.

These 3 displays instantly caught my eye.

All that color and character!

This navy blue and gold combination totally blew me away!

What does Floor & Decor Sell

I walked through aisles of all types of flooring – hardwood, engineered hardwood, bamboo, luxury vinyl, and ceramic tile!

The large scale displays and pictures make it so easy to visualize the product in your home.

They have porcelain, ceramic, natural stones, sandstone and so much more!

All the associates are extensively trained to communicate how to set, install and maintain the products.

They also have many countertop options.

Plus they have all the tools you need to install said flooring and tiles.

Floor & Decor design services

Floor & Decor have FREE design services! You can contact a designer and make an appointment for a personal design walkthrough and recommendations.

They also have a ton of design inspiration on their website to get inspired and your creative juices flowing

I met with a designer and we talked about my master bath.

My master bath is basically the size of a small walk-in closet and has a bunch of questionable design choices made by previous owners… like the VERY off-center light above the vanity and old beige tile in the shower.

Although we aren’t planning a remodel in the near future, I often try to imagine ways we could remodel that tiny bathroom. This was a great opportunity for me to let my imagination run wild!

The designer and I talked about the existing finishes and what I visualized for the room. We spent a good part of the hour walking through aisles picking and comparing pieces.

I knew I really wanted one of the tiles I had spotted in the display – its the most expensive part of the setup but look at that mother of pearl inset!

After this exercise, I feel like I have a very good visual of what I want the bathroom to look like and now I can continue to dream about it and work towards it!

Does Floor & Decor Install

They do not install directly but have recommended third party licensed and experienced installers that they recommend in your area.

They also have a separate PRO-desk and special services for professionals.

What do you think? Isn’t it an amazing store?!

I would highly recommend starting here for your next home improvement project!
