How to build a tiered wooden planter
Here is the video tutorial. I also have the steps listed below if you would rather read about it.
Just hit play –
Step 1 – Start by cutting up the cedar fence for the planter boxes.
Step 2 – Build the three planter boxes using wood glue and finish nails.
Step 3 – Cut the legs and attach legs using wood glue and wood screws. They are screwed from the inside of the boxes.
Step 5 – Attach the next box and set of legs.
Step 6 – Lastly, attach the final box and legs.
That’s it! The DIY tiered planter is ready!
Fill it up with your favorite flowers or herbs and enjoy!

Hi Denise,
I actually put a whole pot with the plant inside the box. The post rests on the slats on the bottom of the box. That way I can easily switch out the plant too.
